What does an infrared thermal mapping audit include?
We scan each rack face with a calibrated thermal camera, record temperature gradients across the front and rear planes, and identify hot spots caused by recirculation or blocked vents. The final report includes annotated thermograms and a prioritized list of corrective actions.
How do you measure intake fan vibration levels?
We attach accelerometers to the fan housing and record velocity and acceleration spectra at normal operating speed. The data is compared against ISO 10816 thresholds to detect bearing wear, imbalance, or resonance issues before they cause unplanned downtime.
What is cabinet static pressure balancing?
It is the process of adjusting fan speeds, blanking plates, and baffles so that air pressure remains uniform across the cabinet height. Uneven pressure causes some servers to receive excess airflow while others overheat. We measure pressure differentials at multiple points and recalibrate the system to keep variance within a few pascals.
How long does a full thermal profiling session take?
A single 42U cabinet typically takes two to three hours, including setup, data collection, and on-site adjustments. Larger installations with multiple racks are scheduled over consecutive days, and we provide a written summary after each session.
Do you work with mixed-vendor server hardware?
Yes. The thermal behavior of the enclosure matters more than the brand of the servers inside. We work with any equipment that fits standard 19-inch racks, including custom control units and non-standard chassis used in industrial plants.
